A movie like “Sanai Chaughade” makes you feel happy while you coming outside theatre after complete show, it doesn’t mean that it’s a popcorn movie. It’s a movie which asks you some questions, which related to our society and our generation and our point of view to about some incidents which faced by women in our society.
It’s a story of a girl “Sayee” and her unique marriage; she belongs to small town Belgan. She lost her father at very young age. After death of his mother which is the first scene of movie, she starts living with her cousin Urmila and her husband Shrikant in Pune. Urmila and Shrikan are childless couple. Urmila promise to Sayee’s mother that she will make all arrangements of Sayee’s marriage, after her death. And they both are happy to assume Sayye’s full responsibility as her guardians and get her married in traditional manner. So they started their search for right match for Sayee. During this search Shrikant offered to for an assignment of 3 years in U.S. This was a bit of background of story, after all on behalf on name of movie “Sanai Chaughade” and punchline “He Lagna tar Honarach” audience are waiting for the main event i.e. marriage of “Sayee”.
So they start searching for a right match. In Marathi culture there is tradition of ‘Kande Pohe’. Kande Pohe is a break fast food, but when a boy comes to girl’s house for looking girl and to meet her family then girl came in saree in front of boy with this Kande Pohe. So many of us have a question why we eat Kande Pohe at this time, well it’s a tradition and we also don’t know the answer. She saw many types of boys, these are some comic scenes where every one in family will like to watch these scene. She doesn’t like anyone and then she goes to Kande Pohe, where nothing is impossible. Kande Pohe – a new matrimonial search, equipped with the latest technology and marketing techniques. In Kande Pohe she found Aaditya. Aaditya has love at first sight with Sayee, but Sayee has some past. Where Sayee decided to told all about her past to person who will going to marry with her.
Sayee told Aditya that she is a mother of child, from her boyfriend Aniket and she is looking for a person who will accept her with her child. Here is main climax goes and gives question to all generation in society. Sayee’s boyfriend also ready to accept her child but he died in and accident. But Sayee doesn’t want to make abortion. Well story says Sayee doesn’t make any wrong but the point of view of people is wrong. Between all this Kande Pohe found a trouble because of compny’s tagline “Nothing is Impossible”. So they take a risk of Sayee’s marriage.
Rajiv Patil have been done great job, we accept that movie will run on box office. Movie attracts by young generation, but this movie has to see by parents also who are looking for their daughters or sons right match. Where in certain scene audience predict the scene that what will happen after this scene. But the dialogues which are written by Sanjay Pawar impressed people to watch movie and don’t talk between movie. Sai Tamhanakar who plays role of “Sayee Paranjape” also done very impressive, where it’s first movie of Sai. Shreyas Talpade who is producer of movie have been done special appearance in movie. Music composed by Avadhoot Gupte and weel music is rocking in marathi campus the song “Kande Pohe”. Well I must say that everyone see movie not only with friends but also with you family.
I like this movie. its Rocking song for Sunidhi (Kandee pohee).
I thing Every one watch this movie
The movie is well written, directed and acted – Sai’s role peformed by Sai Tamhankar lacks a bit of energy, sharpness and character, but overall due to razor sharp dialogues, with wit, make you sit and get entertained throughout. Subodh Bhave’s ease in performing role of marketing fellow is worth watching.
There are some loop holes in the storyline – like why Sai comes out with the truth in the middle of everything if she is looking for father for her child as well.
Anyway .. do not miss this movie.
I REALLY LIKE THE MOVIE…
THE SONG BY SUNIDHI IS QUITE ROCKIN…
THIS MOVIE MAKES U THINK ON DIFFENT MATTERS…
I THINK STARCAST COULD BE A BIT BETTER.. BT OVERALL THE MOVIE IS NICE…!!!
I agree with Pramod…Sorry to say but I did not like the movie. I had high expectations from Mukta Arts and Shreyas Talpade. Saai Tamhankar’s dialogue delivery is very poor…in some scenes she was not able to show the correct emotions and her marathi does not sound perfect. She speaks marathi as if she is a Non-marathi.
Story is very confusing,Saai telling abt her child and saying that she is looking for a father for her child not a husband..if she loves the child so much, then why is she getting married ? Why involve her sis and bro-in-law in such a tricky situation ?Why doesn’t she inform abt her criteria in the 1st place ? Why ppl are trying to convince the other guy (who likes her) to accept her child and her past ? I really did not feel that this movie is going to help anyone..and definitely not the parents…
For me the main character i.e. Saai and her demands and expectations are wrong…I can come up with 10 more questions abt the story and the charactere..but anyways..
Avadhoot Gupte….music bara ahe but it is bit loud..I do not think ppl are going to remember the song and sing it as their favorite song…the lyrics are bad..plz..”ayushya he kandepohe”…ashi upma mazya pachani padnari nahi…Sorry…so,if the movie has not done well on the box office,I am not surprised.
